For me, this IS the quintessential after shave lotion. CLEAN...FRESH...MASCULINE...not sweet , perfumery or heavy....yet NOT understated! There may NEVER be its equal.

original choice
This was the first of the Pinaud products that I used. First bought it at Walgreens. Can't get it there anymore. I love the scent, give you the fresh feeling of being at a barber shop. I also use it as a body splash.

Growing up my neighborhood barber shop was a classic neighborhood establishment. On Saturday there were ball games on the T.V., stacks of Field and Stream Magazines and newspapers. On the bars behind each barber's station were Pinaud Products. Lilac Vegetal was one of them. As I grew older I had other Colognes and After Shaves, but Lilac Vegetal has always been one of the After Shave Lotion staples in my toiletry cabinet. You can't beat the classics.

An interesting scent, reminiscent of the old Main Street Barber Shop, in my hometown...masculine, but undefinable! Always has a place in my toiletries!
