Clubman After Shave Lotion

When I was a kid, the barber would finish cutting your hair and then he would lather you up around the tops of your ears and neckline. As the warm suds settled in, he would strop a straight razor on a leather strop attached to the chair and then proceed to shave around your ears and neck. After toweling you off, a soft brush with talcum powder to get rid of any excess hair and a splash of after shave. It smelled like this. I am allergic to most scents and cannot wear colognes but this works for me and doesn't break me out. I feel like it's a more natural product and not overpowering.

I was introduced to this product in my father's barber shop. I'm now 78 years old, so that was a LONG time ago! Delightful fragrance which elicits sweet reactions from the ladies. Classic!

I used to go a Latina Lady Barber. She would apply this to the back of my neck, but I could never see what it was she was using. Reminded me of when I was a kid in the 60's going to the barber shop on Main Street. Then one day, she used the bottle instead of her sprayer explaining her spray bottle had broken. I saw the name an did an internet search and found it! Used to buy it from Sally's Beauty Supply shops in Austin TX for over 10 years, now with this pandemic I'm buying online. If you want a truly nostalgic classic men's after shave that's been around for over a 150 years! Don't let the plastic bottle fool you... this stuff is the genuine thing! The ladies go for it too! It's my "every day driver" as the youngsters say these days.

Ah, this stuff takes me back to barbershops across the span of my life! Even when I was a little boy when the barber shaved the back of my neckline and sideburns he would put a tiny dab of this on the areas. As I grew and began to shave I realized what a great aftershave this really was and have only recently sought it out - I am so glad I did. The classic Pinaud Clubman scent is clean, pleasant, and somehow never overpowering while still letting itself be known. My only regret is they don't make a cologne with the scent!

I’ve always enjoyed the aroma of a good barber shop, & that personal smell when you first leave the shop. Over a decade ago I read an article on the best ways to smell like a barber shop. Their number one suggestions were to use Pinaud—Clubman aftershave lotion & talcum powder. They were right! Been using them ever since. Love that feel & smell.
